Engineering
Founding, backend, frontend, platform, DevOps, SRE, security and mobile engineers who can ship fast without creating tomorrow’s bottlenecks.
Build high-ownership SaaS engineering, AI, product, leadership and GTM teams—from your first ten hires to global scale—with Grizmo Labs, the SaaS recruitment agency in India for founders, CTOs and people leaders.
SaaS hiring is not about matching a stack. It is about finding people who understand customer problems, recurring revenue, product quality, operational scale and the urgency of the next milestone.
Founding, backend, frontend, platform, DevOps, SRE, security and mobile engineers who can ship fast without creating tomorrow’s bottlenecks.
Applied AI, LLM, ML, data science and data-platform talent who turn proprietary workflows and customer data into defensible product advantage.
Product leaders, PMs and designers who can discover the right problem, simplify complex workflows and improve activation, adoption and retention.
CTOs, VPs, Directors and engineering managers who can raise the technical bar, build teams and create a dependable delivery system.
Enterprise sales, growth, partnerships and revenue leaders who understand ICP, ACV, sales cycles, category creation and international expansion.
Implementation, solutions and customer-success leaders who move customers from promise to measurable value—and protect renewals and expansion.
The right hire depends on what must become true next: shipping the first product, reaching product-market fit, building repeatability or expanding globally.
Build the small team that learns fastest.
Turn traction into a reliable operating system.
Improve velocity, reliability and revenue quality.
Add leadership depth and global reach.
Founders ask who can create leverage. CTOs ask who can own complexity. HR leaders ask how to make quality repeatable. We translate each question into a practical talent scorecard.
The strongest SaaS teams connect product, engineering and revenue. Grizmo Labs searches for the people who strengthen those connections.
You need people who create leverage before the organisation has perfect processes, established management layers or a famous employer brand. We find builders who are energised by ambiguity, own outcomes and understand what it means to protect runway while pursuing product-market fit.
You need technical depth without losing speed. We evaluate candidates against the architecture, delivery and people problems they must solve—from multi-tenant systems and security to platform reliability, AI adoption and engineering leadership.
You need a dependable search partner who improves signal, communicates clearly and strengthens your process. Our submissions include fit evidence, candidate motivation, compensation, notice period, risks and interview availability.
You need access to India’s talent market without treating it as a low-cost sourcing exercise. Globalink™ helps you build teams aligned with global product standards, time zones, communication expectations and long-term capability goals.
A strong engineer in a services environment is not automatically the right engineer for a SaaS company. A successful salesperson in a transaction-led business may struggle with a complex enterprise SaaS cycle. A product manager who maintained a mature feature set may not be ready to discover a new category. Context changes performance. That is why our search starts with the business model, stage and operating problem—not with a generic title.
We ask what the company sells, who buys it, how the product is adopted, what makes customers renew and where growth is currently constrained. For engineering searches, we examine product architecture, scale, quality expectations, deployment environment, team maturity and the balance between shipping and platform investment. For go-to-market searches, we examine ICP, ACV, sales motion, geography, buying committee, cycle length and the relationship between sales, solutions and customer success.
This context creates a sharper search. It prevents the common failure of presenting impressive candidates who solved the wrong type of problem. It also helps candidates understand the real mandate, making conversations more credible and improving acceptance and joining confidence.
SaaS engineering teams live with the consequences of every design decision. The product must remain available, secure, observable and maintainable while customer requirements and usage continue to grow. We recruit engineers who can reason beyond a ticket: people who understand users, make appropriate trade-offs and take responsibility for what happens after deployment.
At Seed stage, breadth, judgement and learning velocity often matter more than narrow specialisation. A founding engineer may move from customer discovery to data modelling, backend APIs, frontend workflows, deployment and incident response in the same week. We look for evidence of end-to-end ownership, comfort with incomplete information, practical architecture choices and the ability to create momentum with limited resources.
We also test for motivation. Early-stage work can be rewarding, but it is not suitable for everyone. Candidates must understand the risk, intensity, equity context and proximity to customers. Clear calibration protects both sides from a technically strong but structurally mismatched hire.
As the company scales, technical complexity becomes organisational complexity. Senior individual contributors must influence architecture across teams, improve engineering standards and solve high-leverage problems without becoming a decision bottleneck. Our searches look for design depth, production ownership, written and verbal influence, mentoring capability and proof that the candidate has improved a system—not merely worked inside one.
Platform, DevOps and SRE hiring is calibrated around reliability, developer productivity, observability, cloud cost and security. We distinguish between candidates who operate tools and those who design systems, lead incidents, reduce recurring failure modes and create the paved roads that let product teams move faster.
An Engineering Manager must balance delivery, quality, coaching and cross-functional alignment. A VP Engineering or CTO mandate adds organisational design, executive communication, hiring strategy, architecture governance and responsibility for the technology narrative with customers and investors. We map candidates against the actual scale transition: founder-led engineering to managers, one team to multiple pods, domestic product to global platform, or feature delivery to enterprise-grade reliability.
Almost every SaaS company now has an AI story. Far fewer have the talent required to turn that story into a reliable, differentiated product. We help clients separate candidates who have integrated a model API from those who can design, evaluate and operate AI systems under real product constraints.
Depending on the mandate, we look for named models, fine-tuning methods, evaluation frameworks, retrieval architecture, agent design, latency and cost decisions, guardrails, monitoring, data pipelines and measurable product outcomes. For traditional ML and data roles, we assess problem formulation, experimentation, feature and model ownership, production deployment and the quality of the candidate’s reasoning about metrics.
Applied AI hiring is especially context-sensitive. A research-heavy candidate may not enjoy the iterative pace of a SaaS product team. A product engineer using AI APIs may be ideal for one mandate but insufficient for another that requires model adaptation or deep evaluation. Our role calibration makes that distinction explicit before sourcing begins.
Great SaaS product talent understands that shipping is only the beginning. The product must activate users, fit workflows, demonstrate value and improve retention. We recruit product managers, product leaders and designers who can combine discovery, prioritisation, commercial awareness and delivery partnership.
For early-stage roles, we favour candidates with direct customer exposure, strong problem framing and evidence of building from ambiguity. For scale-stage roles, we look for portfolio thinking, product operating systems, team leadership and the ability to balance platform investment with customer-facing outcomes. In enterprise SaaS, we also examine how candidates handle large-customer requests without allowing the roadmap to become a sequence of custom projects.
Product-design searches focus on workflow clarity, information architecture, research quality, systems thinking and collaboration with engineering. The best candidates can simplify sophisticated domains without removing the depth that expert users need.
A sales leader who succeeded with a known category, established pipeline and mature brand may not be the right person to create a new market. Likewise, a high-performing mid-market AE may not transfer to a multi-stakeholder enterprise motion. We evaluate SaaS revenue talent against the motion they must run—not only against quota attainment.
Our evaluation covers ICP familiarity, ACV, sales cycle, geography, buyer personas, discovery depth, technical complexity, procurement exposure and the balance between inbound and outbound pipeline. For leadership roles, we examine forecasting discipline, hiring and coaching, territory design, cross-functional partnership and whether the candidate has built a system or inherited one.
Growth talent must understand the company’s motion: product-led, sales-led, channel-led or a hybrid. We look for evidence that candidates can connect acquisition to activation and revenue rather than optimise isolated top-of-funnel metrics. RevOps candidates are assessed for data quality, funnel definitions, forecasting, tooling, process design and their ability to create clarity across marketing, sales and customer success.
Complex SaaS products often need solutions engineers and architects who can connect customer requirements with product capability. We search for technical credibility, discovery, communication and commercial judgement. For customer success, we look beyond relationship management to onboarding quality, adoption, health signals, renewal, expansion and executive stakeholder management.
India offers deep pools of product engineering, cloud, data, AI, security and SaaS go-to-market talent. But successful hiring requires more than publishing a job and comparing compensation. Talent availability differs by city, company cluster, seniority, notice period, work model and the type of problems candidates have owned.
Grizmo Labs helps global companies define which roles should be hired first, where the relevant talent sits and how to position the opportunity. We map comparable employers and adjacent sectors, calibrate compensation expectations and build a candidate narrative around product ambition, technical depth, ownership and career impact.
For new India teams, sequencing matters. Strong early leaders and senior individual contributors create the hiring bar, operating rhythm and cultural foundation for the people who follow. Our Globalink™ approach supports that sequence across founding pods, specialised functions, leadership searches and multi-role programmes.
We also recognise that global collaboration must be designed. Candidate evaluation can include communication, distributed decision-making, documentation habits, customer exposure and comfort with time-zone overlap. The goal is not simply to fill seats in India; it is to build a globally integrated capability.
Every search begins with calibration. We convert the job description into a scorecard that identifies required outcomes, non-negotiable evidence, acceptable adjacencies and likely rejection reasons. This prevents search drift and helps interviewers evaluate candidates consistently.
Market mapping then identifies relevant companies, teams, cities and candidate archetypes. We do not rely only on applicants. Our recruiters approach passive candidates with a narrative that explains the company, product, mandate, growth stage and why the opportunity may matter to them.
Before submission, we validate relevant experience, stage fit, motivation, compensation, notice period, location or work-model expectations, active offers and interview availability. Profiles are shared with a concise fit rationale and risks so hiring managers can decide quickly. A dedicated SPOC, shared tracker and regular review cadence create accountability until the candidate joins.
This operating model is designed for signal, speed and transparency. It is especially valuable when the role is business-critical, the talent pool is narrow or leadership cannot spend weeks reviewing weak profiles.
We recruit backend and full-stack engineers across Java, Python, Go, Node.js, .NET and modern frontend ecosystems. The search is never reduced to language matching. We examine system design, data modelling, API design, testing, deployment, observability, performance and direct production ownership. For multi-tenant SaaS platforms, we may also assess isolation, permissions, billing, configuration, integrations and the candidate’s experience balancing shared-platform efficiency with customer-specific needs. At senior levels, we look for engineers who improve the decisions and output of the people around them.
Reliability becomes part of the product promise as SaaS companies move upmarket. We recruit professionals who can build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, observability, incident-management practices, security controls and scalable developer platforms. Strong candidates demonstrate how they reduced failure rates, improved recovery, controlled cloud costs or shortened delivery cycles. For security hiring, we align the search with the company’s customer profile and compliance journey, including security engineering, application security, cloud security, governance and leadership roles relevant to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and regulated buyers.
Data roles can look similar on paper while solving very different problems. We distinguish data-platform builders from analytics engineers, product data scientists, ML engineers and research-oriented specialists. Calibration covers data volume, latency, orchestration, warehouse or lake architecture, governance, experimentation and downstream users. For analytics leadership, we look for candidates who translate business questions into trusted metrics and operating decisions. For AI positions, we align model depth with the real product requirement so clients do not over-hire research capability or under-hire technical ownership.
Product hiring is assessed through decisions and outcomes. Candidates should explain the customer problem, alternatives considered, discovery evidence, prioritisation logic, execution trade-offs and measurable result. We examine whether their experience matches the company’s motion: self-serve product-led growth, enterprise workflow software, developer tools, vertical SaaS or a hybrid model. Product designers are evaluated for research, interaction design, complex workflows, design systems and their ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering rather than deliver isolated screens.
Revenue hiring begins with the actual market motion. We map candidates by segment, geography, product complexity, ACV, buyer, cycle length and channel. A candidate selling a recognised infrastructure platform to technical buyers brings different strengths from someone creating a new HR SaaS category with business stakeholders. Solutions engineers and architects must combine technical understanding with commercial discovery. Partnership candidates are assessed for ecosystem strategy, pipeline contribution, partner activation and the patience required to create compounding distribution.
Customer success is most valuable when it connects adoption, outcomes, renewal and expansion. We recruit CSMs, implementation consultants, onboarding leaders, support leaders and customer-success executives. Searches are calibrated around portfolio size, customer segment, implementation complexity, technical depth, renewal ownership and global coverage. Leadership candidates should demonstrate how they built segmentation, health scoring, playbooks, capacity models and executive governance—not simply that they managed relationships.
A precise search begins with a precise problem. Before sourcing, we work with the hiring team to clarify what the new hire must accomplish in the first six to twelve months. Is the engineering challenge product velocity, reliability, enterprise readiness, AI differentiation or team leadership? Is the revenue challenge ICP definition, outbound pipeline, enterprise conversion, expansion or a new geography? Is the product role intended to discover a new wedge, scale an established line or create a platform?
We also clarify the environment in which the person must succeed: reporting line, decision rights, team composition, founder involvement, customer exposure, funding stage, work model and compensation. If the company needs a builder but the role is designed like a narrow executor, the mismatch must be resolved before candidates are approached. If the title is inflated relative to scope, or the compensation is misaligned with the market, we surface it early.
This consultation is not administrative intake. It is the foundation of candidate quality. It produces a sharper target market, a more credible outreach story and interviews that test the same success criteria. It also helps the company decide whether it needs a senior individual contributor, manager, functional head or executive—choices that can materially affect speed, cost and organisational design.
High-quality candidates rarely move because a recruiter forwards a job description. They engage when the opportunity is specific and credible. We position the company through the problem being solved, the customer impact, the technical or commercial challenge, the quality of the team, the scope of ownership and the growth path. We avoid exaggerated promises because trust established in the first conversation affects the entire hiring process.
For a founding engineer, the story may centre on shaping architecture and product with the founders. For a VP Engineering, it may focus on the transition from a founder-led team to a scalable organisation. For an enterprise sales leader, it may focus on a clear product advantage and the opportunity to create the market motion. For global candidates considering an India team, it may focus on mandate quality, international collaboration and the chance to build capability rather than inherit a support function.
Retained search is appropriate when the role has a narrow talent pool, requires confidentiality, carries significant leadership risk or needs sustained research beyond an ordinary contingency process. Typical mandates include CTO, VP Engineering, Head of AI, Chief Product Officer, engineering and product directors, revenue leadership and specialised senior individual contributors.
The retained model allows deeper market mapping, structured outreach, candidate benchmarking and regular search reviews. It is especially useful when the company must reach passive executives who are not applying to jobs, when the role requires sensitive succession planning or when several stakeholders need a disciplined decision process. Grizmo Labs can also support reference design, compensation calibration, interview scorecards and offer strategy as part of the mandate.
A recruitment outcome is not complete when a candidate accepts. Notice periods, competing offers, counteroffers and changing personal circumstances can still affect joining. We maintain communication through the transition, support expectation alignment and keep the client informed of risk. The same attention matters after joining: the role, priorities and stakeholder expectations presented during search should match the reality the candidate enters.
For multi-role programmes, search data also becomes useful operating intelligence. Response rates, compensation patterns, rejection reasons, interview conversion and offer outcomes can reveal whether the challenge is market availability, employer positioning, process speed or role design. Our review cadence helps hiring leaders act on those signals rather than simply ask for more profiles.
